This website places no cookies. That is also why you see no cookie banner here: there is nothing to consent to. Below we explain what does happen, because it is not quite nothing either.
This website places no cookies at all. There is no analytics, there are no tracking pixels, no advertising networks, no social media widgets, no embedded videos from YouTube or Vimeo and no Google Maps. All images, videos and typefaces on this site are served from our own address, so nothing is fetched from any external party when you view it. The contact page does run a spam check; article 4 describes that.
So we do not know who you are, where you came from or which pages you look at, and we cannot follow you to other websites.
There is one thing we do store in your browser. A short animation plays when the homepage opens. To stop you seeing it again as you click through the site, we store a single value in your browser’s sessionStorage:

This is not a cookie: it is not sent to our server with every request and it never leaves your device. It contains no identifier and no personal data — only the digit 1. Close the tab and it is gone.
The Dutch cookie rules are set out in article 11.7a of the Telecommunications Act. That article is not only about cookies, but about storing information in, or gaining access to information in, a user’s terminal equipment. The sessionStorage value above therefore formally falls within its scope.
Consent, however, is not required for it. Paragraph 3 of that article makes an exception for storage that is strictly necessary to deliver the service the visitor asked for, and that exception applies here: the value serves only to present the requested page as intended. It contains no identifier, it is read by no third party, nothing is measured with it, and it disappears as soon as you close the tab. So there is nothing you could give or refuse permission for.
Because there are no cookies and the only storage is exempt, we do not need to ask you for consent to anything. A banner asking permission for something that is not happening would only be misleading. That is why there isn’t one.
Everything above applies to simply viewing the site. On the contact page one extra thing happens: we load Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that keeps automated messages out. You see nothing of it — no puzzle, no checkbox — and there is nothing for you to do.
Turnstile is designed as a privacy-friendly alternative to a classic captcha. Cloudflare states that it does not use cookies to track visitors and does not use the data for advertising or profiles. It may store or read technical values in your browser that are needed to establish whether you are a person. That falls under the exception for storage strictly necessary for a service you asked for (article 11.7a(3) of the Dutch Telecommunications Act): without this check we could not offer the form openly. So no consent is required for it either. What Cloudflare processes in doing so is set out in Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
When you submit the form, your message goes through Formspark, which forwards it to us by email. That service may also place cookies on its own domain. This happens only at the moment you click “Send”, never before, and they are that service’s cookies rather than ours. Our privacy policy sets out which data is processed and how long it is kept.

You do not need to do anything: the only storage this site uses disappears by itself as soon as you close the tab. If you would like to clear it manually, you can do so in your browser’s settings for site data.
This policy describes the site as it is now. If we later add something that does place cookies — an analytics tool, a chat window, an embedded video or a map — we will update this policy and, if it is required by then, add a consent request with an equally visible option to refuse. The version and the date of the last change are always shown at the top.
